We provide lots of enjoyment and even more essentially, lots of tender loving care.
Amenities
The range of accommodation consists mainly of single rooms, but there are companion rooms for those wishing to share. Residents are encouraged to bring their own possessions and furniture to make their room as homely as possible.
The Home normally accommodates residents on a long term basis, although some residents may be accepted for short term respite stays.
Throughout the whole of Westwood House, the co-ordination of colours in furnishings, carpets and fabrics helps to create a very pleasant ambiance. There are two large, welcoming lounges and a dining room with a seating area.
Entertainment
There is plenty to do to keep mind and body active. We have a keyboard in one of our lounges which the residents and their visitors enjoy playing and having a sing-along to.
Our staff are always delighted to help with the continuance of residents’ hobbies or with the learning of new ones and the staff happily play games and arrange activities with the residents in the afternoons.
We now enjoy regular visits from the Fozel theatre company, a monthly accordion player and many other events are arranged for the enjoyment of our residents.
Meals
Our experienced staff offer a wide variety of nutritionally balanced quality home cooked meals. We display our menus in advance and cater for all types of dietary needs. Meals are a leisurely experience so that our residents can eat at their own individual pace.
Breakfast is an individual daily choice, our residents can order anything from a glass of juice to a cooked breakfast and it is offered from the earliest time of rising to the latest.
